Administer Emergency Oxygen

This course should be completed every 12 months to keep your skills fresh and make sure you are up to date on any changes to the CPR protocols. The course maps to the unit of competency:

• SRXEMR003A - Administer oxygen in an emergency situation

Participants must be at least 14 years of age. They must also be current in Apply First Aid (3 years) and Perform CPR (1 year). We can schedule these courses if you need a refresher.

Before the Course

This course also involves calling around to collect your manual so you can do your reading and complete the knowledge reviews.

What You'll Learn

• Illness or injury recognition
• The benefits of oxygen
• Precautions and safety procedures
• Oxygen provision to both responsive and unresponsive victims.

What You Can Do

A nationally-recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued to all successful participants.
